The USC Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) competition celebrates the research being done by students at the University of South Carolina. All current USC graduate students are eligible to register to present at the 2022 USC 3MT competition on November 11. The deadline to register is October 19.

SPARC Graduate Research Grant Program

The 2023 SPARC Graduate Research Grant application period is open. The SPARC program provides the opportunity for graduate students to secure funding to support their research, creative or other meritorious scholarly project. SPARC grant applications are due by Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at 5 p.m.

Breakthrough Award Nominations

The Office of the Vice President for Research is seeking nominations for three 2023 Breakthrough signature awards: the Breakthrough Leadership in Research award for senior faculty, Breakthrough Stars for early-career faculty and Breakthrough Graduate Scholars for outstanding graduate students. All nominations are due by 5 p.m. on Friday, October 14, 2022.

Five GTA/GIAs Awarded Teaching Resource Development Grants

Graduate teaching assistants Rochelle Altman, Camryn Garrett, Olivia Darr Weakland, Shea Ferguson, and Chihchi (Sunny) Tsai, were recently awarded teaching resource development grants for the development of instructional materials and other resources that will be shared through the University of South Carolina Center for Teaching Excellence.
