Teaching Towards Inclusive Excellence Certificate
The Teaching Towards Inclusive Excellence certificate program is designed to provide an opportunity for faculty, instructors and teaching graduate students to strengthen their diversity leadership capacities both within and outside their classroom and to support USC’s commitment to inclusive excellence.
Fostering Proactive Learning Environments Certificate
The Fostering Proactive Learning Environments certificate program is designed to assist faculty, instructors and teaching graduate students to understand today’s student and how to structure your class to foster a sense of belonging, develop proactive and reactive strategies for handling academic misconduct and practice how to avoid and address classroom conflicts.
Integrative and Experiential Learning Certificate
The Integrative and Experiential Learning certificate program is designed to bring together faculty, instructors, and graduate students interested in exploring ways to help students connect what they do within and beyond their curriculum, embrace multiple perspectives, and transfer their knowledge to new, complex situations.
Entering Mentoring Certificate of Completion
The Entering Mentoring training series takes an interactive approach to becoming an effective mentor and is part of the USC CTE certificate of completion initiative. The training is designed to help participants develop the skills for engaging in productive, culturally responsive mentoring relationships that optimize success for the mentor and the mentee.
Intercultural Inclusion and Diversity Learning Series
Offered in partnership with the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and the USC sponsored TRIO Program, the goals of the Intercultural Inclusion and Diversity Learning Series are to assist faculty and GTA/IAs to become communicators and facilitators that interlock inclusion and diversity in the experiential process of classroom pedagogy.
Mental Health and Well-being Competency Program for Faculty
The Mental Health and Well-being Competency Certificate program is an initiative from University Health Services with the goal of the helping faculty members feel better equipped to respond to the growing mental health needs of students.

The USC Office of Distributed Learning is seeking a Graduate Assistant(GA).
This position will assist the Office of Distributed Learning in generating transcripts and closed captioning for online course video content. The Graduate Assistant serving in this role will be responsible for correcting the automatically generated captioning of lecture videos.
The Graduate Assistant may also perform additional course production duties as needed. Attention to detail and time management are essential components of the position. Excellent keyboarding and grammatical skills are necessary.
Training in the use of Youtube Creator Studio and other tools will be provided by the Course Production Manager.
10-20 hrs per week. The position begins in Spring 2023, with the possibility to renew each semester.
$12 per hour

The USC Center for the Education and Equity of African American Students (CEEASS) is seeking a graduate teaching assistant.
The graduate teaching assistant would be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Conducting literature reviews
- Engaging in data mining
- Maintaining funding database and help identify state, federal grants, foundation, corporate, private, and other funding sources.
- Assisting with administrative duties of the center (e.g., writing reports and publications; helping to plan presentations; ordering supplies; contributing to webpage).
- Preparing and maintaining attendance records, materials, and reports for roundtables.
- Creating and maintaining listserves and social media platforms
- Attending weekly meetings.
- Serving as an ambassador for the center.

20 hours per week for the fall, spring, and summer.

University Libraries in collaboration with the Graduate School and Research Computing, will host the SHARPGrads free workshops series for the spring 2023 semester. The series provides free training in digital scholarship, computing, and library research concepts for students enrolled in graduate-level courses at the Columbia campus. Students completing the program receive a certificate of completion and digital badge.

The Department of Psychology is recruiting USC undergraduate and graduate students, ages 18 to 29, who are safely able to engage in physical exercise, to participate in a research study. The purpose of the study is to examine the short-term benefits of physical exercise on cognition and mood among college students with and without ADHD.
Students will complete electronic surveys and attend three lab appointments, during which they will:
- Answer questions about their physical and mental health
- Participate in physical health assessments
- Engage in moderate physical exercise by riding a stationary bike
- Complete computer tasks
The time commitment is about 4-6 hours in total.
Complete an eligibility questionnaire to ensure you can safely participate in exercise research. Shortly after you complete the survey, a researcher will contact you to confirm your eligibility. *Students who are pregnant or trying to get pregnant are not eligible.
Participants who meet eligibility criteria, complete all surveys, and attend all three appointments will receive up to $50.

The research assistant will join a project that investigates whether online retailers treat consumers fairly. Within this role, you will develop, document, and maintain advanced software for automatic data collection (web-crawling). You will also learn how retailers collect consumer data and gain understanding of algorithm decision making in online retailing. Schedule to be coordinated with supervisor and to work around class schedule. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to achieve project goals.

The Preparing Future Faculty (PFF) program is a nationally recognized professional development program that provides assistance to graduate students and post-docs who want to become faculty members at the college level.
